Church for Kids 10.30 – 11.45 am 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month in term time
For part of the time during the main church service, children aged 4 – 12 are invited to go into the back room of church or into the school for their own lively activities including crafts and games.
Children come back into church and share communion, refreshments and social time the rest of the church family.

Parents can enjoy ‘time out’ in the church service or kids can be dropped off & picked up later (parental consent forms must be completed)
Children from four years old are welcome to attend Church for Kids. Our aim is to provide a fun, happy and safe environment for the children, whilst they learn about the love of Jesus in way in which they can understand and enjoy. We hope children will stay with us until they are confirmed, after which they can choose whether to stay in church with the adults or to join with the children at Church for Kids; our door is always open to them.
The teaching material we use is called “Searchlight.” It is linked to the lectionary (Bible readings) readings used in church, so our lesson will always be based on one of the readings for that particular Sunday. Our worship includes a variety of activities including prayer and singing, as well as the lesson itself. At different times we use: craft, puzzles, games, dancing and acting to explore the themes from our readings.
On the Sunday before Christmas, we usually to perform a nativity play for the adults in church. We then have our Christmas party following the morning service.
We close for summer holidays at the beginning of July and try to mark this with a picnic at Worden Park in Leyland, weather permitting.
